Enlisted at 17, sergeant by 19. Deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003–2005) in communications and intelligence. Two Army Commendation Medals. Learned that systems, discipline, and calm under fire beat talent every time.
B.S. in Biomedical Sciences & Biology (math minor, 3.9 GPA) at Western Michigan, then a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University. In 2008 — right after my first child was born — the crash took every dollar I’d invested since 16 to near zero. I started studying markets like my family depended on it, because it did.
Built Simple Truth Chiropractic into a practice I sold in 2017. Co-founded Grand Apps — a mobile agency started in the basement of my clinic — plus FireEye Design and ClinicVitamins along the way.
Became one of the most-followed technical analysts on TradingView and crypto Twitter, co-founded Signal Profits, hosted the Crypto Trader Podcast (including a 2019 interview with a then-unknown Sam Bankman-Fried). Made real calls, real money, and real mistakes — I've written honestly about all three.
